E.l.f Blushes = Tickled Pink and Candid Coral

Hello beauties.

Here I am. I decided to make a blush swatch, I am not sure if I made the right decision though.

My camera is not the best, and the shades I chose are very light (I am not very good in applying blush, so I don't buy darker shades, I am afraid to be a clown, actually).

So I decided to swatch my new - beautiful blushes - of Elf.

Candid Coral, a corl with gold shimmer blush, also known as a good dupe of Nars Orgasm and Tickled Pink, a very very fresh and beautiful pink.

So here they are...

Left is Candid Coral, right is Tickled Pink (beautiful, aren't they)

  .

I had a really hard time to swatch them in my arm, so this is the best I could do

Candid Coral is the one in the top, and tickled pink the one in the bottom

And now, show time...

I don't think you have seen my fugly face yet, so here I am . Yes, I am wearing my PJs, yes, with no other make up one, yes, my brows are not fulle plucked (I m trying to make them ticker actually) and yes, with jungle hair. So please be polite.

(Left ones are Tickled Pink, left ones are tickled Pink, or easiest method, when you see my ear ring, then its tickled pink)

Bathroom photos

And here is with sun light, but in my room

Bottomline, I love them. Its what I need. I don't like very strong colors, I can't work with them. Also with my skin tone, any strong color will appear so fake, and I prefer natural blushing. And to be honest, the photos doesn't show how pigmented they really are. Coz they are way more than what you see here

What do you think?

Lots of love beauties.

xoxo

V.

  1. I really think you're pretty! I like yor eyes. :)
I also have candid coral and it's so pretty!
Lately I realized that it's important to have good makeup applicators too. Before I looked like a clown whenever I use a blush. But when I used a good blush brush, with the same blush, it looked different and much much better!
Try using a better blush, one that is easier to control the amount of pigment and distribution on the cheeks. You might even find a good "bright" colored blush. :)
Your brows aren't bad. Mine are! I'm not allowed to pluck/lessen my eyebrows.

  2. Oh, Thank you ♥ My eyes are big and green , but I hate the fact that are down turned (as I posted in a previous post) and I can't work with them a lot.
I do have good brushes. What stops me for putting bright colors is that I am very very pale (NC20), with dark hair , and not natural blushing, instead I have yellow undertones. I mean that the slightly wrong of blush, is very obvious, and the very bright will be clowny.!
And its not that I am THAT talented to applicate it perfectly. Lol
My brows are kind of ok at the moment. But I want to make them a bit thicker, coz the last month, are getting slimmer and slimmer and would look bad if I don't get them in the original.

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED? What do you mean? (sorry for the caps and the question)

  4. Check out asian makeup gurus. Many asians have eyes turned down and asians have yellow undertones! You might find tips and suggestions from them.
Hahaha! Funny reaction. We're just conservative and I'm a very good and obedient girl. :)

  5. Oh, I will then. I haven't seen any Asian with down turned, but if you say it, why to disagree?

Oh, I was socked! I don't see why its a problem to pluck your eyebrows. I mean, if you use make - up, why not to pluck your brows as well?

    Anyway, good girl :p

  6. Ok maybe not many, but I know I often see down turned eyes. Maybe Chinese or Korean? Anyway, I believe they're good in doing their makeup, especially the eyes.
I pluck/thread my brows for special ocassions only. :)
    Hope you get good tips!
(I can't give you much tips. I can't even line my eyes perfectly! Lol)

  7. Shut up, you look gorgeous! <3 I have these blushes but they are invisible on my skin. Very pretty colours but I can't make them work for me! I also have peachy keen, again, invisible on me. If you don't have it, do you want it?

  8. Look, in the photos, are not that visible either, but in reality, they are . Not very pigmented, but their pigmentation is exactly what fits my skintone, I guess.
    No, I don't have it .
    Well, if you insist :P

  9. On my skin they are not visible, even in the mirror! And I'm not that dark, right? Pfff! Sure doll, I'll give it to you next time we meet, I don't like around having products I never use.

  11. I love Candid Coral. Sadly, I do think your photos did not give the blush justice but you know your thoughts on it helped explain the product. :D Did u know Candid Coral is actually a dupe for a TheBalm blush? I shared it on my blog here. You might want to check out: http://www.lovingsunshine.com/2012/03/feature-livin-double-life.html

  12. That's true. The strong light in my room and outside, and my bad ability for photographs, didn't show the real colors . I even had a hard time to swatch them at my arm as I said!
Oh, nice post , and.. nice blog!!!!!!

  13. The darker colors of the Elf studio Line are far more pigmented and theres a lot of dupes in the studio line for Nars etc. Is on my blog if your interested.
